Ahmaud Arbery was more than a national news story. He was a beloved son, a brother, a grandson, a friend, and a young man with dreams, goals, and a bright future ahead of him. Known for his athletic spirit, kind heart, and determination, Ahmaud brought joy to those who knew and loved him. To his family, he was not simply a name recognized around the world -he was a cherished member of their family whose presence made a lasting impact on their lives. On February 23, 2020, Ahmaud's life was tragically taken while jogging near his neighborhood in Brunswick, Georgia. The loss devastated his family and touched millions across the nation. While many people know the circumstances surrounding his death, Marcus Arbery Sr. wanted the world to know the man behind the headlines - the son he raised, the memories they shared, and the bond that can never be broken.
